Brendan Horan

In 2007, Brendan joined Teagasc as a permanent research officer with responsibility for the appraisal of futuristic milk production systems for the Irish dairy industry post milk quotas. His responsibilities currently include the development and evaluation of alternate futuristic production systems incorporating innovation in grassland management practices and increased stocking rates while monitoring the consequential implications for animal productivity and welfare, environmental sustainability and system economic efficiency.
